Study site: Cabane Lake

Site description: La Cabane Lake is located in the Alpes-de-Hautes-Provence (South-east France) at an elevation of 1950 m a.s.l.

Study species: paedomorphic (individuals retaining gills at the adult stage) and metamorphic (metamorphosed adult individuals) Alpine newts Mesotriton alpestris

Research topics: age structure, growth, metamorphosis rate, feeding habits, space use, trophic performance, effect of drying, reproductive success, and courtship tactics.
